Megan Thee Stallion Announces Self-Titled Third Album, Sets June Release Date

Megan Thee Stallion is bringing the heat this summer with an exciting announcement for her fans, the Hotties.

During her Hot Girl Summer tour, the 29-year-old rapper surprised everyone by revealing that her highly anticipated third studio album, titled Megan, will be released on June 28.

To add to the excitement, the Grammy-winning hip-hop artist also shared a QR code for fans to pre-save the upcoming album at her Atlanta show.

This news comes after Megan’s successful string of snake-themed singles, “Cobra,” “Boa,” and “Hiss,” with the latter reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this year. In her recent cover story for L’Officiel, Megan discussed the powerful motif that will continue in her new album, stating, “We don’t just stop at the snake.”

Get ready for a scorching summer as Megan Thee Stallion brings her talent and energy to her latest album, Megan.
“This album is all about renewal and rebirth, that’s the main concept,” she explained. “We chose the snake as the symbol because I have a personal love for snakes, but also because I feel like they are misunderstood in western culture. Snakes represent rebirth and spirituality. I’m not the type of person who is always happy and bubbly. I’m drawn to darker and unique things. The snake is like an antihero for me.”

The talented artist also hinted that she is exploring different sounds on her upcoming album, Megan, which will be her first release since 2022. However, she reassured fans that the project will still be very much true to her.

“It’s not going to feel like a drastic change. It will still be authentic to who I am,” Megan shared. “You might be surprised by some of the sounds I rap over, but it will sound great.”
Megan’s album announcement comes in the wake of her collaboration with GloRilla and Cardi B on the remix of their track “Wanna Be,” which was released on May 31. The trio gave a sneak peek of the single during Megan’s sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden on May 22.

During the performance, GloRilla exclaimed, “We got a special announcement,” prompting Megan to suggest they reveal the news. She then asked the crowd if they wanted to hear “Wanna Be” featuring Cardi B, confirming that the song was indeed in the works.

In addition to her collaborative efforts, Megan has been keeping her Hottie fanbase satisfied with her #MeganMonday freestyles, including “I Think I Love Her” and “Like a G6,” both released in May.

Fans can look forward to streaming and purchasing Megan’s album on June 28.
