The Easter credits at the end of “Moana 2” appear to be a preview of “Zootopia 2.

Disney’s new animated musical Moana 2 is now in theaters!

The film was originally developed as a Disney+ series, but the studio decided to adapt it into a feature film for theatrical release.

Fans who are watching the film may be wondering if they should keep watching extra scenes after the closing credits. Nowadays, many movies, especially series, add extra shots at the end to preview future sequels or to give the audience something extra.

So, do you need to stay after “Moana 2”?

We can confirm that, yes, there’s a scene in the closing credits that you should definitely watch all the way through because it sets the stage for a possible third movie. There’s nothing at the end of the credits, but you might want to check something out.

Reveal the plot!! We see Matangi (Batgirl, who eventually helps Moana) return to the evil Nalo, who is now in human form and no longer a giant thunderstorm. Voiced by Awhimai Fraser, she demands Nalo’s release – but Nalo refuses, saying they’ve only just begun. During the monologue, they are interrupted by Tamatoa, the hilarious crab baddie from the first film. Voiced by Jemaine Clement, the reappearance of the Crab demon sets the stage for the next film, as Tamatoa tries to team up with Nalo as they share a common enemy in Moana.

At the end of the closing credits, Disney revealed the studio’s next animated film to be released.

A snake is shown in what appears to be a trailer for “Zootopia 2,” which is set to be released in 2025.
