Alec and Hilaria Baldwin announce TLC reality show ‘The Baldwins’ following fame, family

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin are taking their personal and public lives to the small screen in a new reality show.

TLC recently announced that they will be airing a show called “The Baldwins” in 2025, which will focus on the couple and their seven children. The network promises that the show will be filled with “non-stop love, laughter, and drama,” according to a press release.

The announcement comes at a time when Alec Baldwin is facing legal troubles. He was recently charged again with involuntary manslaughter in the death of a movie cinematographer. The charges were dropped previously, but now his trial is set to begin this summer.

Both Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been no strangers to controversy and criticism throughout their careers, making this reality show all the more intriguing for viewers.
Amidst the pandemic, Hilaria Baldwin faced severe criticism due to a scandal involving her Spanish heritage. Allegations arose suggesting that she had misrepresented her cultural identity. Social media posts emerged showing Baldwin speaking with different accents, while tweets claimed that she had previously gone by the name Hillary.

The backlash initially began in December 2020 when the 40-year-old was accused of faking her Spanish accent and providing false information about her upbringing. However, in February 2021, Baldwin issued an apology, expressing her commitment to self-reflection and personal growth.

Baldwin acknowledged that while she was raised with both American and Spanish cultures and feels a strong connection to both, she realizes that she could have better explained her identity and cultural background. In July 2021, she addressed the controversy again, describing herself as “multi” cultured and “fluid.”

Alec Baldwin is also a father to Ireland Baldwin, a model and his only daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger. However, it does not seem that she will be involved in the show. In 2007, Alec Baldwin gained attention for leaving a voicemail for his then-11-year-old daughter Ireland, in which he made derogatory remarks, calling her a “rude, thoughtless little pig.”
