Bobrovsky makes 23 saves for first shutout of the postseason, Panthers beat Rangers 3-0 in Game 1

In Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final, Sergei Bobrovsky displayed his goaltending prowess by making 23 saves and earning his first shutout of the postseason. Despite a long stretch without any shots on goal in the middle of the game, Bobrovsky remained composed and stopped every flurry of shots that came his way. Panthers coach Paul Maurice praised the veteran goalie for his ability to make crucial saves and step up in the final minutes of the game. Leading the offensive charge for the Panthers, Matthew Tkachuk contributed a goal and an assist, while Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett also found the back of the net in the team’s 3-0 victory over the New York Rangers.
Bobrovsky, who recorded six shutouts in the regular season, made five saves in the first period, seven in the second, and 11 in the third to earn his second career playoff shutout.
