Butterball did not issue a recall notice for its turkeys after old videos of employees at the farm being caught having sex with animals went viral

Speaking of Turkey support, there are rumors that Turkey giant Butterball has ordered a recall of its turkeys after employees at the farm were caught having sex with animals.

On social media, people are panicking because they fear this year’s Thanksgiving Turkey may contain more than just animal offal.

The cause was a re-surfaced video in which an undercover PETA activist claimed to have caught employees mistreating turkeys at an Arkansas factory.

The only problem is… It’s not true. (Well, at least the recall part isn’t. I don’t know what the workers did to the turkeys before they arrived in my kitchen, but I choose to believe that part isn’t true either).

The cause was a re-surfaced video in which an undercover PETA activist claimed to have caught employees mistreating turkeys at an Arkansas factory.

The video was originally filmed in 2006, but PETA decided to re-share it this year because… Well, the reason behind everything they do is the same: shock.

In the video, PETA investigators allege that one staff member inserted his finger into a Turkey’s vagina “for fun,” while another employee “rode” a bird on a chain.

Obviously these allegations are extremely disturbing, but in a statement to the New York Post, Butterball clarified that the video was filmed nearly 20 years ago, before Butterball became the only Turkey company in the United States to be certified by the Humane Society of the United States.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have also confirmed that there are no active recalls for Butterball turkeys this Thanksgiving season.
