President-elect Donald Trump revealed a new hairstyle, departing from his iconic bouffant combover that he has maintained for decades.
At 78 years old, Trump showcased the different look while greeting fans at his golf club in West Palm Beach on Tuesday.
Entering a room at Trump International Golf Club, Trump held a red “Make America Great Again” hat in his left hand and waved to supporters. His light blond hair was slicked back, exposing more of his receding hairline than usual.
“Everybody having a good time?” Trump asked in a short video clip shared on X (formerly Twitter) by MAGA supporter Michael Solakiewicz. “Is everybody a Republican?”
His fans cheered and shouted: “Yes!”
Trump kept his hat off while a woman presented him with an award, expressing gratitude for his service and contributions to “save America.”
During a comprehensive press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Monday, Trump appeared with his characteristic hairstyle that he has sported throughout his business career and during his first term in the White House.
It remains unclear whether Trump had a haircut, intentionally changed his style, or if his hair simply appeared different after removing his cap.
One user humorously commented, “Make Mullets Great Again!” and shared an edited image of Trump with the sides of his hair shaved off and longer hair in the back.
Another user remarked, “Golf hair. Not new,” and posted what seemed to be an older picture of Trump with slicked-back hair.
Some users speculated that this might be the look for the incoming president’s ‘2025’ appearance.
“I’m getting my hair done tomorrow and will be asking for the Trump 2025 look,” another user wrote.
Many users praised Trump’s appearance.
“This hair unlocks a unique and powerful aura that we’ve only seen a handful of times,” a MAGA supporter commented.
A user criticized Trump on something other than his hair, commenting, “My god. He looks awful… must be pushing 450+ pounds.”
Trump has long been known to be meticulous about his hair.
His eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, reportedly shared details of her father’s hair routine with friends. According to journalist Michael Wolff in his 2018 book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” Ivanka described the process: “an absolutely clean pate – a contained island after scalp-reduction surgery – surrounded by a furry circle of hair around the sides and front, from which all ends are drawn up to meet in the center and then swept back and secured by a stiffening spray.”
In her 2018 memoir, “Full Disclosure,” porn star Stormy Daniels claimed that Trump told her “every celebrity stylist” had offered to change his distinctive hairstyle, but he refused, saying, “It’s my thing. It’s my trademark.”
