Nicholas Hoult recently gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of his Nosferatu co-star Bill Skarsgard’s prosthetic anatomy used on set.
Nosferatu, a reimagining of the classic Dracula narrative, is a gothic story focusing on a haunted young woman, played by Lily-Rose Depp, and a fearsome vampire, portrayed by Skarsgard, who becomes obsessed with her, leading to a trail of terror.
In the film, Bill Skarsgard is virtually unrecognizable due to extensive prosthetics covering his entire body, including a prosthetic piece for a full-frontal scene.
Nicholas Hoult revealed that he was gifted this prosthetic piece, and he has since framed it at home.
“I have Count Orlok’s prosthetic penis framed at home,” Hoult shared in an interview with Elle. “There’s a scene where Bill Skarsgård is slurping my blood, and Robert Eggers asked, ‘How was that for you?’ … And I said, ‘I could feel his prosthetic penis on my leg.’”
Nicholas recounted, “Rob had it framed and sent to my house, but the frame was broken upon arrival. So, I had to take it to a local frame shop and ask, ‘Hey, can you fix this?'”
“The employee didn’t react much at first, but when I returned to pick it up, he seemed to realize the oddity of what I was framing—potentially a vampire-related piece. He asked, ‘Is this some kind of collector’s item?’ and I responded, ‘Yeah, you could say that,'” Nicholas explained.
