The post System of a Down Announce 2025 Stadium Shows with Deftones, Korn, and Avenged Sevenfold appeared first on Consequence.
System of a Down have announced three massive North American stadium shows for 2025, each featuring a major rock band as a co-headliner.
The concerts will take place August 28th at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with Korn; August 31st at Soldier Field in Chicago with Avenged Sevenfold; and September 3rd at Rogers Stadium in Toronto with Deftones. All three shows will feature opening sets by the bands Polyphia and Wisp.
An artist presale starts Wednesday (December 11th) at noon local time, while a Live Nation pre-sale begins Thursday (December 12th) at noon local time using the code JOY. A general on-sale starts Friday (December 13th) at noon local time via Ticketmaster.
Once tickets are on sale, fans can look for deals or get tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub, where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program.
The stadium shows mark a rare opportunity to see System of a Down, who only play occasional concerts these days. It’s been 19 years since they released a new album, but the band continues to have a massive following. In 2024, SOAD only played two shows, including a huge outdoor gig with Deftones at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
System of a Down singer Serj Tankian has scaled back on touring due to chronic back pain and the rigors of the road. He revealed in his recent memoir, Down With the System, that he actually asked out of the band at one point, and that SOAD even auditioned a new singer, but ultimately he remained in the band.
