When Beyonce took the stage at halftime of the game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens

Indeed, fans turned up the volume on Christmas Day as Beyoncé graced the stage during halftime of the Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens game.

This marked her first live performance featuring tracks from her country album, “Cowboy Carter.”

Clad in all white, Beyoncé made a dramatic entrance on a white horse at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston. She kicked off the performance with “16 Carriages” before seamlessly transitioning into a rendition of the Beatles’ “Blackbird.” She was accompanied by Tiera Kennedy, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Reyna Roberts, who also contributed to the album.

The show featured surprise guest appearances from Shaboozey, who joined Beyoncé for “Sweet Honey Buckiin’,” and Post Malone, who performed “Levii’s Jeans” with her in front of a truck adorned with jeans. Both artists collaborated with Beyoncé on tracks for “Cowboy Carter.”
Beyoncé performed several songs including “Jolene,” “Ya-Ya,” and a mashup of “Spaghetti” and “Riverdance.” She also delighted the audience with an excerpt from “My House,” a track not featured on her country album.

Among the backup dancers was Beyoncé’s 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, who joined her mother at the front of the stage to conclude the show with “Texas Hold ‘Em.” Holding hands with Blue Ivy as the song began, Beyoncé ended her performance by rising on a platform into the sky.

After the show, Beyoncé hinted at a potential upcoming event on January 14 through an Instagram post featuring her on a white horse.

The performance was streamed on Netflix, which also aired the NFL’s two marquee games on the holiday. Mariah Carey opened Netflix’s Christmas NFL doubleheader with a pre-recorded performance of her holiday classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
Netflix referred to the concert on X as the “Beyoncé Bowl.” Several attendees at the game shared photos on social media showcasing light-up bands that were reportedly distributed before the game.

According to Variety, a replay of the show will be available for only a few hours. In the United States, the replays of both Christmas games will expire on Netflix three hours after the livestreams conclude, as per the agreement between Netflix and the NFL.

In the month leading up to the game, Beyoncé hinted at her performance through various social media posts, which were also promoted by Netflix.

In a video posted on Christmas Eve, she humorously addressed the streaming issues Netflix has faced during previous live events. Following this, Netflix’s X account temporarily updated its profile bio to read: “roasted by beyoncé 12.24.24.”
“Cowboy Carter,” released on March 29, debuted at the top of both the Billboard Hot 200 album chart and the Top Country Albums chart. This achievement makes her the first Black woman to lead the country album list.

According to Billboard, this marks Beyoncé’s eighth consecutive studio album to reach No. 1 on the Hot 200 chart, meaning every solo album she has released since leaving Destiny’s Child has topped the chart.

“Cowboy Carter” received 11 Grammy nominations, including for the highly coveted Album of the Year and Record of the Year awards.

Billboard has named Beyoncé the greatest pop star of the 21st century, with Taylor Swift following closely behind. Both artists launched global tours last year and attended each other’s concert film premieres. Billboard noted that Beyoncé has been “exemplifying greatness in every form imaginable” since before Swift’s music debut in 2006.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Beyoncé set a new record this month for the most certified titles by a female artist.

Her latest achievement includes “Texas Hold ’Em,” the lead single from her country album released this year, which has been certified double platinum.
