Bertha Elisa Noeggerath Cárdenas, widely known as Dulce, was born on December 29, 1954, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. She was one of the most prominent figures in Mexican music.

Dulce was a significant representative of the 1980s and 1990s, becoming one of the leading performers of romantic folk music.

She later moved to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, where she studied psychology. Dulce began her musical career with the band Toby and his Friends on October 15, 1974.

Twelve years later, Dulce received support from the renowned singer José José, who encouraged her to pursue a solo career in Mexico City.
