Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis exited the Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors during the first half.
Davis played only seven minutes before leaving due to an apparent injury. He rolled his ankle without any contact from an opponent and subsequently headed to the locker room for further evaluation.
During the halftime show on ABC, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Davis planned to have his left ankle taped and attempt to return for the second half.
The team officially listed him as “questionable” to return, but he did not emerge from the locker room for the second half. Gabe Vincent started the third quarter in Davis’s absence.
